Hunter D. Darden

Hunter Darden is living her dream of being an author that began when she was in the 4th grade all because of her love for the Nancy Drew Mysteries. She has become an award winning author of 6 children's books, a novel, a photography book and a collection of humorous, inspiration newspaper columns she wrote for The Charlotte Observer. Her children's books are aimed towards helping children to become healthy, happy adults. She wrote her novel, Tapestry-a story of the healing of the soul after her sister died unexpectedly. The writing of it was a catharsis for her and she was able to find a way to heal. It touches her to know that her words are helping others to heal from loss, as well.

Her awards have been, "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading By The Author's Show," Excellence In Creative Writing Award by The N.C. General Federation Of Women's Clubs," and "Meredith College Career Achievement Alumnae Award." Her books have been featured in magazines that includes Better Homes and Garden's, Writer's Digest, Our State, Today's Woman, Carolina Country and Houston Woman. Hunter is truly on a mission with the mighty power of words!
