Adrian Schober

Adrian Schober received his PhD in English from Monash University, Australia, and is the author of Possessed Child Narratives in Literature and Film: Contrary States (Palgrave Macmillan, 2004). His research interests include children's literature, Hitchcock, Spielberg, Romanticism and the child in the horror genre. He has published book reviews, book chapters, introductions to books, and critical essays in peer-reviewed journals such as Literature/Film Quarterly, The Journal of Popular Film and Television, Senses of Cinema, Papers: Explorations into Children's Literature, The Lion and the Unicorn and The Journal of Popular Culture. He recently coedited (with Dr Debbie Olson) a collection on children in the films of Steven Spielberg for Lexington Books/Rowman & Littlefield. In addition to lecturing on different aspects of literature and film at Australian universities, he serves on the editorial board of Red Feather: An International Journal of Children in Popular Culture.
