Lloyd Jeck

Lloyd Jeck was born in British Columbia, Canada in 1931. In The Shadow of the Peaks: Rocky Mountain Tales, Lloyd's first book, was published in 2000. This family-type reading, according to reader reports, should be in every school as required reading. His second book, published eleven years later, is a well researched chronicle written in a theme of Then and Now. The main stage, on which these adventure stories are portrayed, is located in Central British Columbia. But researched details have their origin in many parts of the world.

This is especially evident in the most recently published book, British Columbia Trails Heading North. You can follow along with a very young Norwegian sailor, who flirted with iceberg's in the Arctic Ocean and visited many historic and remote ports, before landing at New Orleans in North America. His adventures, from that southern port-city in the United States of America to British Columbia, describe a young man who can take care of himself.

Four other pioneers, of this Canadian province, have been researched and documented in this attractive book.

Lloyd and his wife Evelyn now live on a rural property in an area of mountains and meadows, with a valley view of ranch-lands, railway and river.
