About the Author
Barbara A. Turner, PhD, is author and editor of numerous articles and books in the field of Sandplay and play therapy. She teaches in the field and practices Sandplay therapy with adults and children in her office in Southern California.
Dr. Turner edited and returned to print the classic readings in Sandplay - Dora Kalff's "Sandplay: A Psychotherapeutic Approach to the Psyche," Estelle Weinrib's, "Images of the Self: The Sandplay Therapy Process," and H.G. Wells' "Floor Games: A Father's Account of Play and its Legacy of Healing." Among her other writings are:

Dr. Turner is the founder and President of the international Association for Sandplay Therapy, dedicated to maintaining the high standards of Sandplay practice and ethics taught by Dora Kalff. The Association for Sandplay Therapy trains and credentials mental health clinicians for the practice of Sandplay.
