Michael Gibson

Michael Gibson has spent his career in the beverage and hospitality industries, holding roles such as beverage director, restaurant manager, fine wine retailer, brewmaster, and director of operations for a boutique wine wholesaler. Currently, he serves as a data analyst lead for a major beverage alcohol distributor, after managing and curating their item data for many years.

Gibson spent seven years as Lead Instructor for Wine & Spirits at Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale where he learned to break complex and intimidating topics into plain language, easy to understand for a wide audience. He holds multiple certifications with organizations such as the Court of Master Sommeliers, Society of Wine Educators, and American Brewer’s Guild.

In addition to his professional achievements, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cooking. His latest publication, "The Sommelier Prep Course: An Introduction to the Wines, Beers & Spirits of the World, 2nd Edition" is now available.
