Jim Kerwin

Through over four decades of pastoring, writing, and teaching at home and abroad, Jim Kerwin’s calling and credentials as a gifted Bible teacher have been established in the hearts of his growing audience. In the unique tapestry of his ministry can be found influential threads from early Methodism, Wesleyan holiness, and the Pentecostal and charismatic movements. Dedicated to “rightly dividing” the divinely inspired Scripture of truth, and to faithfully presenting God and His truth to his listeners, Jim’s goal is to always minister in “the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17). His favorite question (other than his daily, "How can I please you today, Lord Jesus?") is: ¿Cuál es el contexto? / What's the context?

Jim holds a Master’s degree in Biblical studies from Regent University’s School of Divinity, and he's the founder and president of Finest of the Wheat Teach­ing Fellowship, a non-profit ministry that fo­cus­es its re­sources on “teach­ing God’s text, in context, with­out pretext,” with a special emphasis on train­ing pas­tors and leaders in developing countries. His most recent trips have taken him to Guatemala, Washington, DC, Perú, Iowa, Nicaragua, Florida, and Honduras.

Jim’s Bible-teaching articles and audios ap­pear on the FinestOfTheWheat.org website. In ad­di­tion, he hosts the Kernels of Wheat Podcast on the KernelsOfWheat.com website, where his blog posts also appear. As the conservator of the works of his mentor, P.H.P. (“Percy”) Gutteridge, Jim is­sues occaisional "Grains from Gutteridge" podcasts, as well as a growing list of Gutteridge articles from tran­scripts.
