J. L. Hardesty

J. L. "Jo" Hardesty has had a special bond with horses since she was a small child. In all of the stories she tells, Jo shares her passion and her gratitude for these great creatures. With all her heart, Jo believes that God sent the horse to carry her toward Him across the difficult miles, the struggles and the sorrows of existence without Him. She is grateful to mainstream fiction authors, particularly Taylor Caldwell, for helping God lead her to the highway of faith on which she is blessed to journey. It is Jo's fondest hope that her stories might similarly encourage other lost and lonely souls. With her husband, Jim Lauter, two dogs and all manner of wild creatures, Jo occupies a small piece of paradise just west of the Continental Divide, and not far south of the imaginary line that separates Colorado from Wyoming. During quiet mornings on the mountain, Jo is developing the a screenplay based on her Lost Legend of the First Christmas.
