Carol Purington

Carol Purington lives on a dairy farm in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. Disabled by childhood polio, she uses a voice-operated computer to write her world into haiku and tanka, Japanese verse forms she has studied for more than two decades. Her work has been printed in many haiku and tanka publications, as well as The Christian Science Monitor. She is co-editor, with Susan Todd, of Morning Song: Poems for New Parents, published by St. Martin's Press in 2011.
