Andrew Higgins

Andrew Higgins is a veterinarian who had a career in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. He has spent much of his life working to promote animal health and welfare, and has been a trustee of many animal charities including the iconic Animals In War Memorial in London's Park Lane. He was Editor-in-Chief of The Veterinary Journal for 25 years and enjoys writing. He maintains a close interest in all animals including horses, dogs and camels but has a particular interest in the conservation and husbandry of the Asian elephant and currently chairs the Southern Thailand Elephant Foundation.
