Nancy M. West

Nancy West is the author of Chips: A Hometown Hero; a historical fiction based on the true-life adventures of the most highly decorated K9 warrior and military war dog from World War II. It is a story of friendship, loyalty, and bravery. (Ages 8 and up).

She is also the author of Kali Leads the Way. This is a gently told story about a Cambodian mine detection dog that safely guides a young boy through a dark and rainy night. The watercolor illustrations are by artist Dana Kash.

Ms. West is currently working on a coming-of-age, historical YA novel with paranormal elements. It is set in New York City and the Hudson River Valley during the mid-19th century.
