John Harris

John Harris and Richard Wilbourn have been working on the Hess affair since the early 1990's and have been responsible for the major advances in the understanding of the affair. Since that time the two men have become acknowledged experts in the field, having written four books previously, published 1992, 1999, 2010 and 2014. They have focused in particular on the role of Mrs.Mary Violet Roberts, Tancred Borenius and the flight itself in Rudolf Hess: A new technical analysis (2014).

Since those days, Harris and Wilbourn have travelled to the various Hess sites in Scotland, Northern England, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. They have met the Hess family and relatives of all the major players in the affair. New archival material has surfaced from England, America and Germany.

They would argue that with Rudolf Hess:Treachery and Deception (2016)they have now combined the detail of their early research with a greater understanding of the overall political situation. They now invite to the reader to become involved, given the detailed and referenced evidence that is presented. It has been a long process, but a steady one and slowly the facts have allowed the truth to reveal itself. Actually, a quite shocking truth, but one drawn from the product of meticulous research over a long period of time. Meticulous research and a meticulous conclusion drawn therefrom. You will not be disappointed.

October 2018 saw the release of Rudolf Hess: Truth at last. (Unicorn Publishing). Drawing on further research and information garnered since 2016 they presented the latest explanation of the extraordinary flight and the rationale behind it. (available on pre-order from Waterstones). 2018 marked our first book with Unicorn Publishing - Truth at last, which explores the role of the Polish Government in exile. 2023 saw another Unicorn book: Conspiracy, Calamity and Cover up, which we believe is our most complete work on the subject. And lastly, in 2024 we published (again with Unicorn) the somewaht oddly entitled: "Varhaug, Elektra and Sonne" a detailed analysis of the available German navigational systems extant in 1941.All good fun!
