Julia Nissley

Helping clients through the process of probate for more than 30 years, Julia Nissley has written the definitive guide, “How to Probate an Estate in California.” A graduate of UCLA’s Attorney Assistant Training Program in Probate Administration, Julia is a subject matter expert who stays abreast of trends, updates and changes in California probate code. Prior to launching her own form preparation service, Probate Direct, she was a probate administrator with the LA firm of Silverberg, Rosen, Leon and Behr.

A native Californian raised in Santa Monica, Julia is also a formidable doubles partner who’s been playing tennis since junior high school. She has been a guiding force for the game in Santa Monica and Santa Clarita, California working through the USTA to promote match play for kids. When she’s not on the courts, Julia enjoys travel and reading (mostly non-fiction and history). Her keen eye for detail helps makes the bewildering legal process of probate interesting, engaging and not-in-the-least intimidating.
