Ambassador Abir T. Audi, PhD
Diplomat, Philosopher, Scholar, Author, Poet.
Dr. Taha Audi holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University, Paris, a Master's degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the American University of Beirut. A senior career diplomat, she has previously served in Geneva (2000-2001), Paris (2002-2012), Tokyo (2016-2017), New York (2019-2024). She was appointed Ambassador to Japan in 2025.
In addition to her diplomatic and academic careers, Dr Audi is also an internationally-published author of numerous academic, philosophical, literary and diplomatic books. Written in English and French, and translated into several languages, notably Portuguese and Spanish, these books were published worldwide: London, Paris, New York, Australia, Brazil, and Spain. Her books were acquired by the world’s most prestigious libraries, notably: the U.S. Library of Congress, the New York Public Library, Harvard, Princeton, Boston, and the Sorbonne.
She has also written works on International Law and Organizations, some of which were adopted as official documents by the U.N.
Dr Taha speaks fluent English, French, and German. She also speaks Japanese.
Her hobbies are writing poetry, playing the piano, painting, drawing, photography, biking, hiking, swimming
Versed in philosophy and mysticism, Dr Taha espouses a spiritual worldview and believes that man's ultimate purpose and vocation in life is the fulfilment of his divine nature and destiny.
