Kimerer L. LaMothe

Kimerer LaMothe, award-winning author, philosopher, dancer, and playwright is co-founder of Vital Arts, a creative center for arts and ideas, located on a farm in upstate New York. After earning a doctorate in the Study of Religion from Harvard University, she spent eight years at Brown and then Harvard Universities, teaching, writing, and dancing. She is the author of six books, two musicals, myriad articles, and over a hundred blog posts for Psychology Today. She has created three solo dance concerts; and has received fellowships from the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, the Center for the Study of World Religions, and two from the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
