Marlene Jane Evans, Ph.D. (also published under M.J. Evans) was born in Schenectady, NY in 1933. After her marriage, she graduated from Utica College by her married name, Marlene J. Evans. She earned a M.A. (1973) and Ph.D (1978) at Syracuse University in geography (landscape analysis and cartography). Her academic teaching career began at Utica College of Syracuse University (1969-73), and continued for thirty-one years at the State University of New York's Empire State College, where she is Professosr Emeritus. Her long-standing interests focus on earth science (geography), ancient sites and landscape analysis, with research emphasis on the landscape awwarness of ancient people. She bacame a personal friend of Zcharia Sitchin, a world renowned acholar, traveling several times with his groups to the Meditarranean area to study ancient sites. These trips added to her previous study of ancient sites in Ireland and Great Britain. Her research interests have expanded to encompass contributions made by scholars whose publications have made notable contributions that at first were considered heretical and therefore unaccepted by mainstrream science and religion. She is a regular reviewer for the American Liberary Association. She now lives in Syracuse, NY. .
