Mr. Charles W. Hitz (Chaz) is a native of Seattle, Washington but has lived on Seattle's Eastside for over 25 years. Mr. Hitz recently retired from the Boeing Company after a successful 30-year career as an IT professional within Boeing's Commerical Aircraft Division. During his time with Boeing, Mr. Hitz earned three masters degrees focusing on information technology, engineering, and business from local Seattle Universities. It helped foster his interest in life-long learning and continued education. He also taught classes at local community colleges as an associate faculty member on subjects centered around computer technology and programming. Mr. Hitz is also the owner of Sitka 2 Enterprises LLC (formally Sitka 2 Publishing) which published his book he authored in 2003 titled "Through The Rapids - This History of Princess Louisa Inlet." His main focus is on non-fiction research and writing focusing on aviation, maritime, military, and Pacific Northwest history. In which a number of other books will be published related to these topics. Mr. Charles W. Hitz is also a licensed Amateur Radio Operator since 1989 and enjoys fly fishing, photography, and travel in his spare time.
