David Gillett

David Gillett, a building designer with a proclivity for ruins, was born in Ontario, Canada and still lives in his family's 1890's ancestral farmhouse. He started writing at an early age and had a weekly column in a local newspaper while still a teenager. His first book, Mystery Rider at Thunder Ridge, was published in 1988, followed by a sequel, The Great Reptile Race, as well as pieces in various anthologies and collections.

David has written on a host of topics for various Canadian and international periodicals, including: architecture, history, travel and creativity. He divides his time between his design practice (sadly, no ruins) and his writing endeavors, and frequently finds himself in the U.K. where, he says: "I find inspiration all around, even in the air..."
