I am a Reading Specialist and Music Educator for the Wilmington Area School District in New Wilmington, PA. Over the past twenty years, I have worked with students from age five to eighteen. I have coached students in Drama Club and high school plays. No matter the age of the student, I try to involve each child in role playing or acting of some kind so that they may experience the joy of acting. Through the monologues in Hey, Girlfriend, I hope to promote frank discussion among peers about problems they face each day.
I studied theatre, as a hobby, during my undergraduate years at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA, and was very involved in community theatre. I have a Masters in Education with Reading Specialist Certification through Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. I am also certified in Pennsylvania as a music educator.
My hobbies are playing the piano, reading, and taking long walks in the woods. I enjoy life in the hills of western Pennsylvania with my husband, Rod, and my two daughters, Kaycee and Nicolette, and my collie dog, Bella.
