William T. Walker, CFPIM, CSCP-F, CLTD-F, CIRM is adjunct professor of supply chain engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn, NY. Bill's 40+ year professional practitioner experience includes being director of supply chain management at StarTrak Information Technologies, LLC and a supply chain architect for Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies and Siemens Building Technologies designing, implementing, operating and optimizing global supply chain networks. He was named a "Top 20 Logistics Executive" in 2000 by the Logistics Forum. Bill teaches demand planning and fulfillment at the Rutgers Business School in Newark, NJ, and instructs supply chain seminars based on his books having presented in Asia, North America, Europe and South Africa. Bill holds lifetime APICS certifications; co-developed the APICS Advanced Supply Chain Management courseware; is past APICS Education & Research Foundation president, past APICS vice president of education; and a 35+ year APICS chapter member. He holds BSEE and MSIE degrees from Lehigh University.
