David K. Bowman

In 1968, David Bowman graduated from Pacific Western College in Renton, WA with a BA in Accounting and in 1976 from the University of Washington with a BA in General Studies/Archaeology. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve after 25 years of service, which included two years active duty in the Vietnam War and ten years in Naval Reserve Intelligence. He retired after 31 years with the State of Washington on New Year's Eve 2002. His time with the State included 12+ years with Social & Health Services and 19 years in Corrections, where he worked as an onsite IT Tech.

David is the author of eight books and was a Finalist in the 2008 National Best Books competition under History/U.S./Nonfiction for Legerdemain.

In his spare time, enjoys music (particularly classical and music from the 40s) and is an avid collector of books, magazines, photos, coins, stamps and Amelia Earhart memorabilia. He is an avid photographer. He meets regularly with fellow researchers and is a member of the Amelia Earhart Society. He enjoys SF, Fantasy, and Mystery Films and is a lifelong film historian.
