Angie Quantrell

Angie Quantrell began life in 1962 in the Yakima Valley. Her childhood involved daydreaming, horses, reading, creating, pretending, animals, siblings, and spending time outdoors. As an adult, Angie requires a daily quota of reading, just as she needs coffee to drink and air to breathe. Angie loves a variety of books in many genres. If an adventure is to be had, that is the book she wants to read next.

Angie has lived in the Yakima Valley for most of her life, except for the nine heat and desert animal filled years her family spent in Arizona while she was growing up. After college, Angie taught young children and elementary students in many different classroom settings. Weekly trips to the library supported Angie's book habits and provided excellent resources for her students.

Angie has been writing in some form or the other for most of her years. God opened the doors of opportunity when her own children were preschoolers, way back in the dinosaur age. Angie's writing efforts include 22 years of writing books, curriculum, articles, and resources for New Hope Publishers and Woman's Missionary Union (WMU). Families on Mission, Teaching Your Preschooler to Love, Share, and Care (New Hope Publishers), I Can Pray (WMU), I Can Give (WMU), I Can Do It!(WMU), I Can Be More Like Jesus (WMU), and Let's Learn About...(WMU) are books written for preschoolers and their families.

Angie is enchanted by the story possibilities waiting to be written. She loves figuring out the words in a story and imagining how each page will be illustrated. Watching her grandchildren and the young children around her provides an abundance of ideas and future writing projects.
