Robert Phillips is on the faculty of the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. His work has appeared in Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Business & Society Review, International Journal of Management Reviews, Strategic Management Journal and Strategic Organization among others. He is author of Stakeholder Theory and Organizational Ethics (2003, Berrett-Koehler Publishers), co-editor (with R. Edward Freeman) of Stakeholders (2010, Edward Elgar Publishing) and editor of Stakeholder Theory: Impact and Prospects (2011, Edward Elgar Publishing) . His research interests include reciprocity and bounded self-interest, ethics in network organizations, and private military contractors. He is a Senior Fellow at the Olsson Center for Applied Ethics at the University of Virginia’s Darden School. He has previously served as Associate Editor for Business & Society and is past president of the Society for Business Ethics (2009).
