Dede W. Casad

Dede Weldon Casad is the author of more than a dozen books, mostly about Texas and Texans. Her newest release is Farwell's Folly: The Rise and Fall of the XIT Ranch in Texas. She has also released a new series for children, Henry the Hard Drive and His Friends.

A native Texan, Casad hold two degrees from Texas Women's University and a Ph.D from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is an entrepreneur who has served on many corporate boards.

Dr. Casad makes her home in Dallas, where she has participated in a wide range of business and civic activities. She has three children and six grandsons.
