Cheryl V. Ford

Cheryl has devoted her life to Christian ministry since her early twenties. Alongside her husband, Dr. Clayton Ford, she has served in pastoral ministry for more than forty years while cultivating a parallel calling as a writer and speaker.

She is widely recognized for her work related to John Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress. After teaching the story to teens and sensing the need for a more relatable version, she created The Pilgrim’s Progress (faithfully retold in contemporary English), which received the Gold Medallion Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. The book later inspired two companion volumes: The Pilgrim’s Progress Discipleship Course and The Pilgrim’s Progress Devotional. She recently released a fully updated 2nd edition of the devotional—an exciting, revitalized guide offering fresh insight and renewed spiritual encouragement.

Cheryl is also the author of the Women of the Word series—Treasures from the Heart, Healing for the Heart, and Triumphs of the Heart—available exclusively at her website. Her writing has been used in schools in the United States and abroad. When she’s not writing or teaching, she devotes her time to her family and to interceding for the Church and the world.
