Cathy Areu

Cathy Areu is a journalist, author, and founder of Catalina magazine, a publication created to celebrate and amplify Latino voices in American media. Recognized for her dedication to diversity and representation, she was honored with a “Cathy Areu Appreciation Day” in Manhattan for her work promoting the Latino community.

In 2006, Cathy published her first book Latino Wisdom: Celebrity Stories of Hope, Inspiration, and Success to Recharge Your Mind, Body, and Soul, a collection of interviews and personal reflections from influential Latinos in entertainment, politics, business, and the arts.

Through these conversations, she captures the cultural pride and personal journeys that inspire generations.

Throughout her career, Cathy has interviewed celebrated leaders, cultural icons, and trailblazers, always with a focus on authentic storytelling and the power of heritage.
