Cathy Areu is a journalist, author, and founder of Catalina magazine, a publication created to celebrate and amplify Latino voices in American media. Recognized for her dedication to diversity and representation, she was honored with a “Cathy Areu Appreciation Day” in Manhattan for her work promoting the Latino community.
