Bradley E. Gernand

Bradley E. Gernand is a graduate of Antlers High School and the University of Oklahoma. He has served as archivist in the National Archives, senior archivist in the Library of Congress, and as information manager of the Institute for Defense Analyses. He also served as senior director of communications and as executive communications officer for the Choctaw Nation. Gernand is author of three books: a history of Falls Church, Virginia published on the occasion of its 300th birthday, a history of Northern Virginia during the Civil War, and a history of Quantico, Virginia, home to a massive U.S. Marine Corps training base. The Marines commissioned the latter book to be published to mark the opening of the National Museum of the Marine Corps, at Quantico. Gernand's fourth book is a history of his favorite place in the world: Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.
