Jennifer Barr

Jennifer Robin Barr is a writer from the Philadelphia area, spending her days on a college campus working with students, and her free time writing for children and middle grade readers.

At the start of her writing journey, Jennifer spent a short career writing how-to style guide books, publishing The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Bridal Showers in 1999 and The Everything Scrapbooking Book in 2002. She then joined SCBWI, found a great writing group, and has been writing stories for children ever since.

Jennifer focuses on picture books and middle-grade novels, and is drawn to writing about little-known nuggets of history. GOODBYE, MR. SPALDING is her debut Middle Grade novel.
