When Harriet and I worked at Girl Scouts of the USA, we noticed there were many books written for girls in middle school and many books written for parents, but no books written for girls and boys and written directly to them. We are so proud that our book started a trend in middle-school non fiction and is read by many middle school kids (and their parents and friends), is in almost every school library and public library, is a staple of guidance counselors, part of many youth group programs, used as a text in teacher training programs and continues to help kids successfully ride the roller coaster of middle school.
