Frederic J. Frommer

Frederic Frommer was born in Queens, N.Y., where he mastered body surfing in the Atlantic Ocean and playing stickball. In late 2015, he launched the Sports Business Practice at the Dewey Square Group, a public affairs firm in Washington, D.C., where he provides strategic communication and other services to sports clients. Prior to joining Dewey Square, Frommer worked at CNN, washingtonpost.com and The Associated Press. He created a groundbreaking beat on the intersection of sports and public policy, wrote about energy and the environment, covered the Roger Clemens trial and was AP’s reporter at the U.S. Courthouse. He has authored several books on baseball, and freelanced for The Washington Post, The New York Times, POLITICO MAGAZINE and several other publications. He has been interviewed by media outlets including NPR, ABC News, NBC News, ESPN Radio, SiriusXM, Bloomberg Politics, The Washington Post and The New York Times. Frommer is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York. He enjoys running, biking and playing with his two young sons.
