Pam Lintott

Pam Lintott opened her shop The Quilt Room in 1981 in Dorking, Surrey, UK and ran it successfully for 42 years with the help of her daughter Nicky who joined in 2006. In 2023 Nicky and Pam closed the shop to concentrate on designing and writing books. Pam was the author of The Quilt Room Workshops and The Quilter's Workbook.

Together with Nicky, Pam has written fifteen books for F&W Media and David & Charles. They specialise in using pre-cut fabric bundles including jelly rolls, layer cakes and charm packs. The books so far are Jelly Roll Quilts, Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts, Jelly Roll Inspiration, Jelly Roll Sampler Quilts, Two From One Jelly Roll Quilts, More Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts, Jelly Roll Dreams, Antique to Heirloom Jelly Roll Quilts, Dessert Roll Quilts, Quick Quilts with Rulers, New Ways with Jelly Rolls, Jelly Roll Quilts in a Weekend, Classic Jelly Roll Quilts, Quilts from Quarters and The Best of Jelly Roll Quilts.

Their new book Layer Cake Quilts is published by C & T Publishing and contains fourteen stunning quilt patterns using 'just one layer cake' plus lots of extra tips and tricks to give inspiration for creating your own designs. A layer cake is a bundle of 42 10in squares and is such a fun way to create quilts. The launch date for this new book is November 2026.
