Helen Berliner

Helen Berliner, M.A., is a design consultant, educator, and author of Enlightened by Design. She has degrees in fine arts and environmental psychology, certification in interior design, and European training in display design. With over 35 years training in Buddhist mindfulness practices, she brings the eye of an artist and contemplative discipline to her work, transformative energy to her clients' lives, and artistic excellence to custom installations.

Artistic mentors: Philip Pearlstein, Ilya Bolotowsky, and Albert Christ-Janer; the revolutionary "Light, Color, and Design" training of colorist (and Joseph Albers student) Mary Buckley; photographer Bert Stern (and the Libra studio); pianist Honora Furtado (Ornstein School of Music, Philadelphia Conservatory of Music); violinist Frank Costello (Philadelphia Orchestra); and most importantly, Tibetan meditation master and artist, Chögyam Trungpa (from 1970 until his death in 1987)
