Lorelei Sims

Lorelei Sims is an artist/blacksmith who resides in Charleston, Illinois. She opened her smithy, Five Points Blacksmith Shop, in 1993. Lorelei specializes in creating botanical themed functional ironwork that incorporates traditional blacksmithing with modern metalworking applications.

Lorelei is well-respected within the blacksmithing community; she has been a featured demonstrator at blacksmithing conferences throughout North America. She also teaches classes in her shop.

She is the author of the best selling blacksmith primer, The Backyard Blacksmith - Traditional Techniques for the Modern Smith and has recently released the first volume of her new writing project, Organic Metalworking, which explores how she creates Grapevine themed ironwork.
