Neil Russell Jones [MBA, BSc, ACIB]
Neil is a writer, poet, well-published author and lyricist. He has had over 16 books published and has written several libretti. In addition, he is the author of many papers covering management topics and current affairs. He is a management consultant and has worked and travelled globally to over 40 countries working with many different organisations in many different sectors in the fields of strategy, operational efficiency, change and including M&A and integration as well as privatisations. He holds several Non-Executive roles in charitable organisations where he uses his skills and experience to assist them in their operations and strategy. He is involved in the Credit Union movement – organisations which are not-for-profit, member owned (mutuals) which offer financial services to the disadvantaged, where he is President of one and President designate of another. He is also Acting Chair for an Academy Trust and Chair of a charity which takes mixed martial arts to deaf, blind, disabled and disadvantaged youngsters, across London.
He has been an advisor to several supranational legislative and regulatory organisations and was a special advisor for the Prince’s Youth Business Trust. His hobbies include setting and doing crosswords and puzzles, military history, music, martial arts, skiing and writing. He speaks English, French and Spanish and has a smattering of several others. He is currently writing books on inter alia, a Global History of Martial Arts, a history of Nottingham, several novels, and a book on Pre-Emptive Strikes in Military History – in support of PhD research in this area. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and has appeared on radio and TV as a financial services guru on several occasions
