Elizabeth Malcolm

Professor Elizabeth Malcolm, FRHistS, FASSA, is a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia, having previously been Professor of Irish Studies there for 12 years. She has a PhD in Irish history from Trinity College, Dublin, and worked during the 1980s and 1990s in the Institutes of Irish Studies at Queen's University, Belfast, and the University of Liverpool, England. She has published extensively on Irish and Irish-Australian social, cultural and medical history and is currently writing a history of gender and violence in Ireland with Associate Professor Dianne Hall.
