Peter E. Earl

Peter E. Earl is a British/Australian behavioral economist who undertook both his undergraduate and doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge, UK. He has held academic positions at the University of Stirling, Scotland (1979-1984), the University of Tasmania (1984-1991), Lincoln University, New Zealand (1991-2001), and the University of Queensland (2001-2020), where, after ‘retiring’, he is now an honorary associate professor.

Principles of Behavioural Economics: Bringing Together Old, New and Evolutionary Approaches (2022) is his tenth book; he is also the editor/co-editor of nine other books and a post co-editor of the Journal of Economic Psychology. He has published articles in journals such as the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Economic Psychology, Research Policy, Cambridge Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Evolutionary Economics.
