Variety is the spice of life. It is also the spice of writing. Melanie A. Howard takes this idea to to heart. Since she was 9, Howard has striven to explore both the geographical and literary world. After publishing The Civil Rights Marches in 2004, Howard - a fluent Spanish speaker - traveled to Spain, then lived in Guatemala for a year, where she taught the arts. Since returning to US, Howard has renewed her work in the children's non-fiction sector and has several Hi-Lo books forthcoming from Capstone this coming year. Howard is also an accomplished Tarot reader and co-author of Psychic Tarot: Using Your Natural Psychic Abilities to Read the Cards.
