Scott Noble's first book, the highly acclaimed "Hockey for Weekend Warriors," was something of a surprise. Noble never pictured himself writing non-fiction (or enjoying doing it so much). The second edition of "Hockey for Weekend Warriors" hit the shelves in September 2011.
Noble's highly anticipated, "Speaking of Life, Death and Hockey . . . " was a little more along the lines of what he expected to be writing. Like its non fiction counterpart, Noble's first published novel has garnered rave reviews.
Currently the owner of Rocket Skate, a full-service hockey pro shop, Scott Noble has been unraveling the confusing world of hockey retail for customers since 2001. Playing both goalie and forward (sometimes at the same time) gives him a unique perspective to the sport. His ability to translate the complexities of the game and its gear into simple, understandable and humorous language, has often been praised.
Scott has consulted with equipment manufacturers, coached young players and written dozens of articles. His hockey articles have been published on the internet and in several magazines, including Premier Hockey, Ice, and Beer Advocate. He's also been interviewed as an equipment expert for newspaper articles published by the New York Times, Vancouver Sun and Ottawa Citizen. His articles on equipment have helped thousands of people make informed buying decisions on hockey gear. Three of his articles have landed in the permanent collection at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Scott is currently working on a new novel.
