As an Eagle Scout, he enjoys the outdoors, and spends a lot of time hiking and camping.

He enjoys the Ozarks, the Smokies, the Wind River Region, the Black Hills and the Tennessee River. "One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the porch or around the camp fire and listen to stories," he said.

Williford is a popular speaker to after dinner groups, colleges and churches. On the subject of Heaven, he said, "I would like to believe that Heaven includes a place to fish, paths to hike and my faithful dogs. We'll see."

Stephen's books are in the area of leadership communication. He began as a speechwriter for some of the most well-known speakers in the nation. He speaks at leadership retreats and provides leadership communication consulting.
