JOHN J HEARTFIELD
John J Heartfield is an author, songwriter, and curator. He is a born storyteller whose imagination spans genres from mystery to action-adventure to humor.
John was a computer science and digital design professor at several universities, including New York University, where he received the Tisch School of the Arts "for pioneering work in interactive media."
The German Dada & Antifascist Art Pioneer, John Heartfield, is John's grandfather. John built and currently curates The Official John Heartfield Exhibition (John Heartfield Exhibition.com) to honor his grandfather and promote Art and Artists with Integrity and Courage.
Events all over the world invite John to speak about the power of political art.
The Nation magazine published the first chapter of the graphic novel John is writing with artist Lance Hansen.
John was born in New York City and spent much of his life in Berkeley, California. His family lives in Liguria, Italy, John's his second home.
