Mike Ostlund

I was born and raised in Webster City, Iowa, as was my uncle, William C. Ostlund, who grew up before and during the Great Depression, in the 20's and 30's.

Bill, a Lieutenant jg, served on the USS Gudgeon before she was lost on her 12th war patrol in early April, 1944. Bill was one of 79 men on the boat at the time of her disappearance.
