Mike Florio

Mike Florio practiced law for nearly two decades, and he has covered the NFL for 23 years as the founder and senior editor of ProFootballTalk.com. In 2020, he started writing fiction in his spare time. Since then, he has finished seven novels, along with Playmakers, a non-fiction book about pro football from 2001 through 2021. He'll be publishing one or two books per year, with the goal of eventually completing at least 20. The theory is simple; if he writes enough, one might eventually be not terrible. Beyond the relaxation he finds in the writing process, he hopes that people will read and enjoy his stories. He thinks there's no feeling like discovering a good book, and then striking the balance between quickly finding out how it all ends and savoring the journey.
