Jimmy Kallam is a pastor, mentor, and ministry leader with a deep passion for helping believers live out their faith authentically. He served on staff at a church in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 42 years -- including 37 years as senior pastor -- intentionally creating a community where the answer to "how are you" did not have to be an automatic "fine."
Jimmy's unique perspective, borne out of his own struggles as a pastor, led him to write Risking Church: Creating a Place Where Your Heart Feels at Home (2003) and the upcoming Struggling Well with Life: An Honest Look at Living Out Your Faith (April 2025).
A longtime member of the national board of the Evangelical Free Church of America, including four years as Chairman, Jimmy and his wife, Suzi, now co-lead Tandem Spirituality, a ministry they founded in 2019 to provide counseling and mentoring to pastors and their families. Married since 1975, they are blessed with three married daughters and eight grandchildren.
