Fred L Pincus is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County where he taught for 43 years until he retired in 2012. In addition to his three academic books, his scholarly work has appeared in dozens of academic journals and political publications. The 3rd Edition of UNDERSTANDING DIVERSITY is scheduled for release in 2021.
His memoir, CONFESSIONS OF A RADICAL ACADEMIC, was published in 2020. His memoir-related articles have appeared in two books and in the Chronicle of Higher Education, The Baltimore Sun and Pen in Hand. He lives in Baltimore with his wife, Natalie Sokoloff.
