Rosemary Gordon

Rosemary Gordon was born in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia. She spent most of her childhood in Nyasaland, now called Malawi. She moved to Durban, South Africa at the age of 19 where she married and had 2 daughters. After the disintegration of her marriage she immigrated to the United States in 1986 where her daughters later joined her.

She currently lives in the small town of Sonoma, in Northern California, about an hour north of San Francisco. Her passions include Opera, reading, elephants, rhino, gorilla's and her little Yorkie.

She is the Author of 'Monkeys Up A Tree' a memoir of growing up in a time of white colonialism. 'Monkeys' takes you on a crazy romp through the lifestyles of the outrageous. By turn heart-breaking, horrifying and often hilarious.
