Margaret Hobson

Margaret Davis Hobson (1944- ) was born and raised in DeKalb County, Indiana. She was a mathematics teacher and researcher and is a family genealogist. While writing her mother's family history, she discovered three brothers who served in the Civil War and that led her to researching the Forty-fourth Indiana regiment from northeast Indiana. Her first book on the regiment, "The Men of Indiana's Iron 44th, Part 1: Biographies and Regimental Statistics" was published in 2012. "The Voice of Indiana's 44th Regiment, Part 2: Formation and Photos" was printed in November 2013.
