Alison Norrington

Alison Norrington is an internationally recognised author, creative producer, storyteller, novelist and playwright whose novels, plays, and screenplays have entertained readers and audiences worldwide.

Her debut novel Class Act became an Irish bestseller in 2004, followed by Look Before You Leap and Three of a Kind. Her fourth novel, The Man in Manhattan, was optioned by the Motion Picture Corporation of America, for whom she also wrote the screenplay.

As CEO and Founder of storycentral, Alison works closely with studios, publishers, broadcasters, and brands advising on story architecture and developing story worlds for film, television, theatre, and digital platforms. She is a TED speaker, BAFTA Guru, Masterclass Trainer, and serves on the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys) is a member of the Writers Guild of Great Britain. Her developmental work for kids television has also earned an Emmy nomination.

Alison’s work is known for its warmth, wit, and emotional depth - whether she’s penning romantic comedies, developing transmedia worlds, or co-creating high-stakes romantasy under her pen name, Elli J Morrigan, under which she co-writes the best romantasy of 2025 for Audible, the Ashen Crown series.

She has several projects in development, including her own funky production which she describes as Mad Men meets Doris Day.
