David W. Russell is a bilingual writer, lecturer and consultant who has enjoyed a long-term love affair with Japan since his high school days. His first book, "Keiretsu: Inside the Hidden Japanese Conglomerates," won several awards, including Best Business and Management Book of the Year and Best Business Book of the Year. Since 1995 he has authored, co-authored or ghost-written over a dozen books on Japan. He continues to conduct seminars and workshops for Japanese corporate executives (in Japanese) and personally advises both Western and Japanese businesses. After working in Tokyo non-stop for two decades, he now divides his time between his home in New York City and his “sanity retreat” on a hillside close to Mt. Fuji.
