Dave Borland is native of Pittsburgh who writes American stories from a male prospective of life in coordination with strong women who share equally powerful roles in his stories. In fact several of his works have strong women who are the lead characters. His novels, short stories, poetry and plays, probe into individuals as they experience life, whatever it may bring. The novels usually have a Pittsburgh setting while his other writings can be from any place in this country or world. Just let the character move through the story, whether a poem, short story, novel, or play, and sense if you, the reader, can relate to what he is experiencing. It's real people in real settings.
