Scott McDermott

Scott McDermott was born in Hannibal, Missouri, USA, in 1968. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, MO. He is the author of Charles Carroll of Carrollton: Faithful Revolutionary (New York: Scepter Press, 2002; reprint, 2018), as well as numerous articles in peer-reviewed publications. His research interests include Puritanism in New England, Native American history, and American religious history. He is currently Assistant Professor of History at Albany State University and lives in Albany, Georgia, USA.
