Lisa Saunders

Lisa Saunders recently finished walking 360 miles across the State of New York on the Erie Canalway Trail in search of "The 7 Wonders" to raise awareness of a leading cause of birth defects, congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV), which causes autism and hearing loss. She continues to scour old documents to shed new light on ancestors who made a difference in American history, including Mayflower passenger Richard Warren, known for enduring severe hardships to ensure the survival of the colony; Capt. Benjamin Church, considered the Father of American Army Rangers, for utilizing Native American stealthy war tactics; Revolutionary War veteran Captain Henry Gale, sentenced to hang for trying to protect war veterans from unfair debt practices; and Civil War private, Charles McDowell, one of the last off the field in the “battle that saved Washington.” She interviews other history makers on PAC-B TV.
